Baskoro Tedjo is an Indonesian architect who received many awards for his works. Known as an architect with a behavioral design approach, and many of his poetic designs work. Currently actively participating and winning design contests, teaching at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and working on many designs with the design Hepta.
Born in Semarang in 1959, he graduated from the Bandung Institute of Technology in 1982. He then continued his architecture studies at the Polytechnic Institute of New York and graduated in 1989. Later received an OECF scholarship to continue his studies at Osaka University, Japan, and graduated in 1999.
The most significant award was when he received the 2002 National IAI award in the building he designed early in his career, Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, Bandung. In addition to creating many works, he wrote in a Japanese magazine titled "The Beauty of Light and Empty Composition." He published an article in a book called Local Wisdom in Urban Planning and Design to realize Sustainable Urban Architecture (Local Culture in Design and Planning for Creating a sustainable urban architecture), published in Malang in 2009.
The last book he wrote and is still a Best Seller is entitled "Baskoro Tedjo: Extending Sensibilities through design (Architectural Works 1997-2002)". Continuing the success of the book, he plans to publish a second book on the process and design ideas shortly.
